Zerubbabel first married Hannah Haskell, daughter of Thomas Haskell (1 Jan 1689/90-10 Feb 1785) & Mary Parsons. Born on 26 Oct 1720 in Gloucester, MA. Hannah died in Gorham, Cumberland Co., ME, on 27 Jul 1753; she was 32.

On 7 Nov 1750 when Roger was 30, he married Lydia Ervine. Lydia died on 14 Dec 1811.
