On 28 Jul 1727 Sarah married Rev. Jonathan Edwards, son of Rev. Timothy Edwards (14 May 1669-27 Jan 1758) & Esther Stoddard (2 Jun 1672-19 Jan 1770), in New Haven, CT. Born on 5 Oct 1703 in East Windsor, CT. Jonathan died in Princeton, NJ, on 22 Mar 1758; he was 54. Education: Yale 1720.

Jonathan was the leader of the religious revival in New England known as The Great Awakening.
