Barbara married Killian Minckler (16758) , son of Johannes Minckler (6355) (ca 1710-ca 1770) & Catharina Van Husum (26 Nov 1714-1764). Born on 12 Jan 1736 in Teerbosch, NY. Killian died in Mar 1810 in Grand Isle, VT.

16783. Jacob Schmidt. Born on 9 Dec 1739.354 At the age of <1, Jacob was baptized in Tarbush, NY, on 13 Apr 1740.354 Jacob, four months old, son of Jurge Schmid & Barbel, witnesses Jacob Schmid [uncle] & wife Gertrud. Recorded at the Athens Zion Lutheran Church.

16784. Peter Schmidt. Born on 11 Dec 1741.354 At the age of <1, Peter was baptized in Tarbush, NY, on 22 Mar 1742.354 Peter, son of Jurge Schmid & Barbel, witnesses Andreas Schmid & Catharina Schmidin. Recorded at the Athens Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.

16785. Kilian Schmidt. Born ca 1744. Kilian was baptized in Germantown Reformed Church, on 29 Jan 1744.174 Witnesses: Kilian & Gertha Minkler. Was on the census for Livingston, Columbia Co., NY, in 1790. 1-2-4-0-3.

Papers in the estate of Kilian Smith were issued 1 Oct 1813 (Columbia Co. Administrations Bk. B).174

There was a Kelleyaen Smith who was an executor of the will of Johancrist Wagenaer of Claverack, dated 6 Apr 1792, probated 8 Jul 1796, that mentioned Johancrist’s sons Johannis, Jacob, & Matthias, and daughters Johan-Adam, Hannah, Margaret, Geetrude, Mary, Catharine, and grandson Henry Blunt; executors sons Matthius and Johannis, son-in-law Kelleyaen Smith; witnesses William H. Clapper, Simeon Shutts, & David Brouwer; his mark.358

Kilian married Gertraud Wagner.

16786. Johannes Schmidt. Born on 23 Oct 1746.354 At the age of <1, Johannes was baptized in Rhinebeck Lutheran Church, on 7 Dec 1746.354 Johannes, son of George Schmid & Barbara, withesses Joh: Winoklero and his wife.

Johannes’ wife has been mentioned as Geertje Williams, also as Anna Bartel.

Johannes Smit and Pally Van Dassen [Polly Van Tassel] were witnesses at the 5 Feb 1794 baptism of Catharine (b. 28 Nov 1793), daughter of Cornelius Conklin [Polly’s cousin] and Lena Hilicer.
John J. Smith and Polly Van Tassel were witnesses of the 1803 baptism of their grandson John Race.
Hans and Elisabeth were witnesses at the 1809 baptism of Barbel Jung, daughter of Christian Jung and Barbel Schmidt.

Johannes married Polly Van Tassel (25463) , daughter of Jacob Van Tassel (16028) (13 Jul 1720-bet 1815 and 1821) & Elizabeth Foshay (13343) (ca 1726-). Born in 1751. Polly was baptized in Sleepy Hollow Reformed Church, on 8 Oct 1751.181 Marytye, daughter of Jacobus Van Tessel, witnesses Frans Pue & his wife [Maria Van Tessel, Jacobus’s half sister].

Was this Maritie who was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Foshay and married a John Smith the same Polly Van Tassel who married John J. Smith and had a daughter Elizabeth (the wife of William Rees)?

ca 1770 Margaretha first married Bastian Benn, son of Pieter Benn (17 Mar 1726-aft Jul 1785) & Johanna Lescher (-aft Jul 1785). Born ca 1750. Bastian was baptized on 19 Jan 1750.
