On 15 Feb 1755 when Samuel was 27, he married Anne Stevens, daughter of Cyprian Stevens (ca 1707-) & Damaris Whitney (ca 1708-28 Sep 1787), in Holden, MA. Born on 18 Mar 1732 in Rutland, MA. Anne died in Guilford, VT, on 24 Mar 1811; she was 79. Buried in Blanchard Cemetery, Guilford.
