Thomas was one of the patentees of New London, 14 Oct 1704, soon after settled in Groton on his large farm bordering the river. He was a shipwright and built a sloop called the Sea Flower.207
On 1 Jan 1694/5 when Thomas was 26, he married Mary Morgan, daughter of Capt. James Morgan (3 Mar 1643/4-8 Dec 1711) & Mary Vine (ca 1641-1689), in Groton, CT. Born on 20 Mar 1670 in New London, CT.24 Mary died in Stoninngton, CT, on 14 Sep 1765; she was 95.24

Johnthan was elected constable at the first town meeting in Groton 1705; deputy to the General Court 1712-14, and member of the Governor’s Council 1711-14.207
On 12 Jan 1698 when Jonathan was 23, he married Elizabeth Morgan, daughter of Capt. James Morgan (3 Mar 1643/4-8 Dec 1711) & Mary Vine (ca 1641-1689), in New London, CT.135 Born on 9 Sep 1678 in Groton, CT.207 Elizabeth died in Norwich, CT, on 8 Sep 1763; she was 84.207
