17661. Cornelius Phelps. Born on 2 Jun 1707 in Windsor, CT.93 Cornelius died in Windsor, CT, on 18 Jan 1782; he was 74.229 Occupation: Blacksmith.
Cornelius “settled in Windsor, CT. It would appear that this Cornelius joined the Revolutionary ARmy, Nov. 5th, 1781, and died in the service, Jan. 18, 1782. HIs will, dated Nov. 8th, 1781, mentions his [second] wife Mary, sons Cornelius and Job. To Cornelius he gives his blacksmith shop and tools, and mentions daughter Hanna, wife of Martin Pinney, daughter Ann, wife of Joseph Griswold, and Mary, wife of David Pinney.”229
On 24 Mar 1742/3 when Cornelius was 35, he married Hannah Phelps (17686) , daughter of Thomas Phelps (21 Aug 1687-6 Jan 1750) & Hannah Phelps (6881) (4 Aug 1684-Mar 1728).93 Born on 28 Sep 1709 in Poquonock, Windsor, CT.229 Hannah died ca 1760 in Windsor, CT.

On 15 Jun 1741 when John was 30, he married Thanks Wilcox, daughter of Dea. William Wilcox (22 Apr 1702-27 Dec 1772) & Thankful Adams (10 Apr 1703-), in Simsbury, CT.93 Born on 7 Mar 1725 in Simsbury, CT. Thanks died in Norfolk, CT, on 22 Dec 1778; she was 53.
