Although Willem’s baptism record says his parents were Willem Scharp and Geertruy Rees, evidently his father was Johannes.

ca 1735 Andries married Johanna Freer, daughter of Abraham Freer (16 Jun 1670-) & Aeche Willemse Tietsoort (28 Apr 1674-ca 1741). Born in 1715. Johanna was baptized in Kingston Church, Kingston, on 13 Nov 1715. Witnesses: Net Deempoort & Elysbeth Van Vlied.

18141. Catrina Scherp. Born in 1713. Catrina was baptized in Reformed Dutch Church of Albany, on 2 Aug 1713.242 Catryna, of Joannes & Geertruy Scerp, witnesses Pieter Ver Brugge & Maria Ten Broek. Catrina died on 10 Nov 1786.
Philip and Cathrina Scherp were witnesses at the 1748 baptism of their nephew Phillip (son of Wilhellm Reese and Maria); also the 1760 baptism of their grandaughter Cathrina Rees (daughter of Jonathan Rees and Evje Free).
