19412. Richard Temple. Born in 1667/8 in Saco, ME (then MA).238 Richard was baptized in Reading, MA, on 8 Nov 1687.238 Richard died on 23 Nov 1737 in Reading, MA.14 Buried in South Reading.

Richard came to Reading, MA, as a youth, and was a servant to Dea. Thomas Bancroft.238

Richard lived in the westerly part of the West Parish. He was selectman in 1734 and 1735.15

On the last day of Oct 1751, Jonathan Temple of Reading and Jabez Temple of Wilmington and Thomas Temple of Framingham and Ebenezer Temple of Chelmsford and Elizabeth Townsend and Ruth Temple of Reading, spinster, and John Townsend of Charlestown, children and heirs of Richard and Deborah Temple late of Reading deceased, sold land to their brother John Temple of Reading. (Middlesex Deeds, 49:417.)90

ca 1695 Richard second married Deborah Parker (5877) , daughter of Dea. Thomas Parker (1837) (ca 1636-17 Jul 1699) & Deborah Kibbe (1596) (7 Nov 1647-1699), in Reading/Woburn. Born on 15 Aug 1674 in Reading, MA.14 Deborah died in Wakefield, MA, on 8 May 1751; she was 76.238

19414. Thomas Temple. Born ca 1670 in Saco, ME (then MA).

“Thomas, m. and settled in London, Eng.; was a sea captain. He made voyages to Boston and visits to his friends in Reading. He presented Pool’s Bibles, two large volumes, to Josiah Temple. They were afterward owned by Jonathan Temple of Antrim, N. H.” “He had only one child, a dau.”238

19415. Phebe Temple.

ca 1700 Phebe married David Norton, son of William Norton (-ca 1690) & Susanna Mason (ca 1634-). Born on 31 May 1664 in Boston, MA.

David and Phebe lived in Black Horse Lane, North end of Boston.238 He paid inhabitation tax 1695.2
