or one lower room in my upper house by the highway and all house
hold goods except what I otherwlse give away.
To son Nathaniel Church one half of all my lands in three great
lots from the sea to ye great highway with one house and one barn.
To son Caleb Church with my other house and barn on ye land
when 21 on ye land from the highway to the sea. Great highway.
Son Nathaniel Church is to have choice of house and barn.
To two youngest sons Richard and Israel Church 100 pounds at
twenty three years and fifty pounds to both when they build

William “joined the movement from [Duxbury] which was largely instrumental in the settlement of Little Compton, then in Massachusetts, now a part of Rhode Island.”25
