On 28 Aug 1767 when James was 20, he married Catherine Van Voorhees (27694) , daughter of Lucas Van Voorhees (26 Feb 1698-bef 9 Nov 1782) & Annatje Kip (15966) (ca Jan 1706-16 Dec 1759). Born on 1 Mar 1742. Catherine died on 9 Jun 1813; she was 71.
