On 24 Oct 1739 when Matthew was 24, he married Hannah Tallman (19246) , daughter of Dr. James Tallman (7667) (ca 1668-1724) & Hannah Swain (5 Jul 1679-9 Sep 1765). Born on 14 Sep 1723 in Portsmouth, RI.269 Hannah died in Portsmouth, RI, on 15 Aug 1797; she was 73.
