On 13 Jan 1731 when Mary was 19, she married John Cudworth (24128) , son of John Cudworth (11856) (2 May 1674-ca 1755) & Margaret Hatch (23544) (26 Aug 1677-), in First Parish Church, Scituate.116,85 Born on 16 May 1706 in Scituate, MA.116 John died ca 1776 in Scituate, MA.

John and Mary resided on Hoop Pole Neck.7

Hannah was born in the Water Briggs house.7

On 21 Dec 1732 when Hannah was 18, she married Dea. Joseph Clap (32641) , son of Joseph Clap (23344) (14 Dec 1668-ca 1747) & Abigail Allen (28 Feb 1673/4-), in First Parish Church, Scituate.85 Born on 15 Jul 1701 in Scituate, MA.116

Joseph settled on land granted his father in 1700 at Black Pond Hill. Seventeen of Scituate’s qutoa of French Neutrals, after the dispersal of the Acadians, were left in care of Dea. Clap, and a family of seven are said to have lived in a hut on Cuffee’s Lane, afterwrad so called from Simeon Cuffee Granderson, a Revolutionary soldier, who came after the war ended.7
