Church was at Waldoboro, ME, in 1770, but back in Scituate when he served in Capt. William Turner’s Regiment in 1775 and 1776. He also served in Capt. Nathaniel Wilson’s Company in 1776. He was living in Nobleboro, Lincoln Co., ME, in 1790.88

Samuel resided in Hanover.7 He removed to Worcester.6
Samuel was living in New Bedford, MA, when he enlisted in Capt. Thomas Crandon’s Company in 1775. Later in Capt. Benjamin Dillingham’s company in 1776, and in the Navy in 1779 under Capt. Landais on the frigate Alliance. Samuel and Jerusha settled in Hanover, then removed to Holden, Worcester Co., MA.88
On 13 Jun 1794 when Samuel was 39, he married Jerusha Briggs (31304) , daughter of Cornelius Briggs (20974) (3 Nov 1728-26 Sep 1769) & Jerusha Church (31610) (8 Mar 1732-), in Scituate, MA.116 Born on 29 Jun 1764 in Scituate, MA.116 Jerusha died in Holden, MA, on 1 Jun 1840; she was 75.88
