On 20 Jan 1725/6 Elizabeth married James Bishop (9581) , son of John Bishop (2782) (17 May 1662-1710) & Abigail Willet (say 1661-1725), in New Haven, CT.74 Born on 17 Feb 1699[/1700] in New Haven, CT.74 At the age of <1, James was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 29 Mar 1700.30 James died in Farmington, CT, on 15 Jul 1780; he was 80.30

24927. Capt. Lawrence Clinton. Born on 1 Jan 1737/8 in New Haven, CT.139 Lawrence died in North Haven, CT, on 9 Sep 1804; he was 66.139

Lawrence was commissioned Ensign of the 9th Co., 2nd Regt., Oct 1776; Lieut. of the same, May 1779; and Capt. of the same, Oct 1779. He appears as Lieut. in militia service in 1779, and later as Capt. in the 15th Militia Regt.139

On 15 Nov 1759 when Lawrence was 21, he first married Elizabeth Todd (22392) , daughter of Gershom Todd (10300) (12 Oct 1695-Nov 1748) & Hannah Mansfield (29243) (6 Jan 1703/4-29 Dec 1772), in New Haven, CT.74 Born on 29 Sep 1736 in New Haven, CT.30 Elizabeth died in North Haven, CT, on 3 Apr 1803; she was 66.30 Buried in Old Graveyard, North Haven.
