On 6 Apr 1747 a request was made for similar certificates for his two sons. The certificate of transfer was granted 4 Apr 1748. From the Women’s Monthly Meetinbg of Swansea, on 2 Mar 1747 Sarah Earle, wife of John Earle, Sr., requested a certificated corresponding to her husband’s. On 6 Apr 1747 Patience Earle, wife of John Earle, Jr., requested a similar certificate.210
On 24 Dec 1719 when John was 25, he married Sarah [Borden] in Portsmouth, RI.269 John Earle Jr of Portsmouth and Sarah Borden, widow, of Swansey, were married by William Anthony, Asst., 24 Dec 1719.

On 6 Sep 1714 when Sarah was 16, she married Stephen Manchester, son of Job Manchester (-ca 1713) & Hannah [Manchester], in Tiverton, MA (now RI).287 Stephen Manchester and Sarah Earl were married by Benjmain Church, Justice, 6 Sep 1714. Born on 8 Apr 1689 in Tiverton, MA (now RI).287
