25182. Ebenezer Hitchcock. Born on 23 Jul 1750 in New Haven, CT.74 At the age of 24, Ebenezer was baptized in St James, Derby, CT, on 2 Apr 1775. Ebenezer was baptized as an adult the same day two of his children, unnamed, were baptized. Another of his children, also unnamed, was baptized at St James on 1 Feb 1787. Occupation: farmer.

Ebenezer was of Bethany when he married his first wife Abigail. It isn’t clear which of Ebenezer’s children are of his first wife, Abigail, and which are of his second wife, Sarah. Also, since there are no vital records, and the only baptizmal records naming a child are for “Mittee, Chancey, and Jabesh, children of Ebenr Hitchcock” in Oct 1782, it is unclear the order of birth of the children.

On 17 Mar 1772 when Ebenezer was 21, he first married Abigail Prichard (26783) , daughter of James Prichard (15646) (31 Jan 1722/3-3 Sep 1749) & Abigail Hickock (14797) (8 Aug 1722-), in Congregational Society, Oxford.30 Born on 14 May 1752 in Waterbury, CT.328 Was on the census for Woodbury, CT, in 1790.30 1-1-4.

Jesse moved from New Haven to Lainsborough,MA, then to Sacketts Harbor, NY where he died.200

25185. Joseph Hitchcock. Born ca 1757. Joseph died ca 1828 in Pike, Bradford Co., PA.30

Joseph left Woodbridge, CT, in 1817, and in 1818 moved to Pike, Bradford Co., PA.200

On 17 Dec 1788 Joseph first married Catherine Smith, daughter of Isaac Smith & Catherine Cook.200 (Someone added this marriage as a notation in the Connecticut State Library copy of the Hitchcock genealogy). Born on 16 May 1766 in New Haven, CT.74

Joseph and Mabel were buried in Steubenville, or possibly La Raysville, Bradford Co., where their son Joseph settled.200

Born on 7 Apr 1742 in New Haven, CT.74 At the age of <1, Titus was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 6 Jun 1742.30 Titus died in Bethany, CT, on 20 Oct 1776; he was 34.30 Buried in Cemetery in the Hollow, Bethany.

Titus and Rebecca were second cousins since his grandmother, Abiah Hitchcock, was the sister of her grandfather, Ebenezer Hitchcock.
