John and Lucy resided on the paternal homestead, “over the river,” until 1796, when they removed with their family to that part of Scituate which was incorporated in 1849 as South Scituate.33
John and Lucy removed to Scituate, 1799. Their residence was a half mile south of Cushing hill.6
