27432. Joel Jenkins. Born on 9 Mar 1684/5 in Malden, MA.

Joel inherited from his grandfather Joel Jenkins a dwelling house and one hundred acres in Reading, to which town he moved from Malden. The greater part of his farm was in that section of Reading which was included in the new town of Wilmington, and he is generally called of the latter place after its incorporation in 1730. By deed, dated 4 mary 1750, he transferred to his son Joseph half the homestead and much of his other real estate in Wilmington. Administration on his eatate was granted 21 Feb 1754 to Chadwallader Ford, the widow refusing to serve. A deed dated 22 Sep 1756 (Middlesex Co. Deeds, vol. 63, p. 195) names the following as his children: Samuel Jenkins of Andover, Obadiah Jenkins of Groton, Joseph Jenkins of Wilmington, Chadwallador and Mary Ford, Samuel and Sarah Killim, Ebenezer and Hepzibah Temple, Ezra and Lydia Carter, and William and Rebecca Jones.408

On 27 Dec 1704 when Joel was 19, he married Mary Chadwick, daughter of Samuel Chadwick (ca 1657-26 Feb 1689/90) & Mary Stocker (25 Apr 1666-), in Reading, MA.14 Born on 2 Nov 1685 in Woburn, MA.35

On 31 Dec 1712 when Anna was 25, she married Benjamin Teel, son of William Teel (ca 1660-bef 21 May 1719) & Mary [Teel] (-ca 1745), in Malden, MA.408 Born on 2 Nov 1689 in Malden, MA. Benjamin died in Charlestown, MA, on 31 Dec 1777; he was 88.
