Jeremiah resided at the paternal homestead. He enlisted as a soldier in the army sent for the reduction of Louisburg, Cape Breton 13 Feb 1745, and was in Capt. Sherburne’s company. He ‘was killed a fighting with the French and Indians in the woods, at some distance from the city of Louisburg.’32
