William and Jane were witnesses at several baptisms: 1796 for Casparus and 1800 for Jane (children of Jane’s brother, Adam Cole, & Nelly Patterson); and 1801 for their nephew William Hause (son of Zechariah Haes & Sara Rase).

On 5 Mar 1789 William married Jannetje Kool, daughter of Casparus Kool (26 Oct 1738-1 Feb 1787) & Sara Schuts (ca 1739-26 Sep 1773), in Claverack Reformed Church.300 Born on 3 Jun 1768. At the age of <1, Jannetje was baptized in Linlithgo Reformed Church, Livingston, on 12 Jun 1768.96 Witnesses: Gerrit Decker & wife Jannetje M’Clean.

On 1 Jul 1787 Geertruyd married Adam Kool, son of Casparus Kool (26 Oct 1738-1 Feb 1787) & Sara Schuts (ca 1739-26 Sep 1773), in Claverack Reformed Church.96 Born on 4 Jul 1765.96 At the age of <1, Adam was baptized in Linlithgo Reformed Church, Livingston, on 7 Jul 1765.96 Witnesses: Adam Shoetz & wife Elsje Schram.

Was this the Adam Cohl who married Anatje Deinhard and had a son Lampert baptized ca 1785?

Benjamin and his sister Cornelia were witnesses at the 1798 baptism of their nephew Benjamin, son of Zacharias Hawse and Sarah Race.

Will abstract: Benjamin Race of Kinderhook (age 68), dated 9 Nov 1845, probated 7 Jun 1848, mentions wife Mary; daughters Gitty wife of Peter Head, and Maria wief of Henry Smith; sons William, John, Michael, & Richard. Executors: sons Michael & Richard. Witnesses: Robert patterson of Kinderhook & Lawrence Fowler of Kinderhook.358

On 19 Nov 1799 when Benjamin was 23, he married Maritje Harder (35833) , daughter of Jan Harder (30607) (3 Aug 1743-11 Sep 1835) & Commerche Hoes (ca Aug 1750-1 Nov 1828), in Claverack, Columbia Co., NY.417 Born on 1 Oct 1776.417 At the age of <1, Maritje was baptized in Claverack, Columbia Co., NY, on 3 Nov 1776.417 Witnesses: Peter Brouwer & wife Maria. Maritje died in Kinderhook, Columbia Co., NY, on 26 Aug 1858; she was 81.96 Buried in Kinderhook, Columbia Co., NY.

More research is needed to varify that Catherine Comford is a child of Benjamin and Maritje.96

Robert and Cornelia were witnesses at the 1803 baptism of Cornelia’s neice Gertrude, daughter of William Raes & Jannetje Cole; also the 1803 baptism of Adam Cole (widower of Cornelia’s sister Gertrude) and Nelly Patterson.
