Joseph was Representative for Watertown from 1702 through 1705, also often selectman and assessor.¹¹

On 18 Nov 1673 when Joseph was 23, he married Elizabeth Winship, daughter of Lieut. Edward Winship (13 Mar 1611/2-2 Dec 1688) & Elizabeth Parke (ca 1631-19 Sep 1690), in Watertown, MA.¹¹ Born on 15 Apr 1652 in Cambridge, MA.
