On 25 Jan 1756 when Desire was 25, she married Rev. Grindall Rawson (47217) , son of Pelatiah Rawson (28832) (2 Jul 1696-1769) & Hannah Hall (17 Aug 1692-1 Aug 1775), in Yarmouth, MA. Born on 29 Jul 1721 in Dover, Strafford County, New Hampshire. Grindall died in Sutton, MA, on 18 Nov 1794; he was 73. Education: B.A. Harvard 1741, M.A. Yale 1753. Marriage intention published on 2 Jan 1756. They were divorced in 1773.

Grindall was named after his great uncle, Rev. Grindall Rawson of Mendon.

Grindall was installed as the Congreational minister of Ware, MA, 9 May 1751. He resigned 30 Jan 1754.

Grindall died at the house of Ebenezer Rawson while on a visit to Sutton.
