On 19 Feb 1740 /1 when Lydia was 18, she first married Simeon Nash (10163) , son of Joseph Nash (6452) (8 Jun 1674-23 May 1732) & Hannah Curtis (3016) (28 May 1681-), in the Second Church of Scituate.193 Born on 8 May 1717 in Scituate, MA.116 At the age of <1, Simeon was baptized on 1 Jul 1717.116 He was baptized at home ‘being sick’. Simeon died in Albany, NY, on 1 Jun 1759; he was 42.88 Occupation: shipwright and sailor. 116

Simeon was a soldier in the French and Indian War, and died at Ticonderoga in 1759 with smallpox.7

On 2 Nov 1745 (int) when Abigail was 19, she married Seth Briggs (20969) , son of James Briggs (8808) (2 Mar 1683/4-1754) & Hannah Stowell (13075) (9 Jul 1692-ca 1750), in Scituate, MA.116 Born on 28 Aug 1721 in Scituate, MA.116 Seth died in Pembroke, MA, on 23 Jul 1801; he was 79.177 Occupation: shipwright.177

Seth built vessels at the Brick Kilns on the Pembroke side of North Rivers. His six sons served their apprenticeship with their father, and sons Elisha and Alden succeeded him at that yard, while Enos, Daniel, Thomas, and Seth became prominent builders at Salem and Milton. Seth served in the Revolutionary War.7
