In 1679 his name appears upon ‘a list of foot-soldiers belonging in Hingham, who were willing to serve the country in the capacity of troopers.’ At home he held various military offices. ... Selectman 1694 and 1698. Resided on the paternal homestead, North St., near Thaxter's Bridge.”33

Alice Hearsey and Sarah Loring; and divide among all her children land given her by her father John Bradford deceased.
