James Small (18886) , son of Benjamin Small (ca 1664/1670-4 Jun 1721) & Rebecca Snow (7529) (23 Jul 1676-31 Aug 1753), in Truro, MA.284 James Smalley and Hannah Bickford were married October the 2nd 1729 by the Rev. Mr. John Avery Pastor of the church in Truroe. Born on 28 Oct 1707 in Truro, MA.284 James ye son of Benjamin and Rebecca Smalle, was born in the eight and twentyeth day of october: in ye year 1707. James died ca 1750 in Norwich, CT.103 Religion: James and Hannah were admitted members of the Truro Church 26 Dec 1731.103

On 7 Oct 1731 when Thankful was 17, she married Maj. Hezekiah Doane (12628) , son of Eld. Hezekiah Doane (4160) (last week of Aug 1672-1752) & Hannah Snow (7526) (26 Aug 1670-1717), in Truro, MA.284 Hezekiah Doane Jn of Province Town and Thankfull Bickford of Truro were married to each other October ye 7th 1731 by the Rev. Mr. Avery of Truro. Born ca 1712. Hezekiah was baptized in Truro, MA, on 30 Mar 1712.171 Hezekiah died ca 1760/1770.
Hezekiah was living in 1762 at Wellfleet. He was mentioned as “Major Hezekiah Doane” on 19 Dec 1774. and on 20 Aug 1778, Major Doane was on the Committee of Safety, at Wellfleet. (See History of Cape Cod, by Frederick Freeman, vol. 2: 659, 664, 672.)103
