Born ca 1673 in Yarmouth, MA.377 Joseph died 1724/5 in Swansea, MA.377 Religion: Society of Friends at Portsmouth.

On 3 Oct 1737 when Sarah was 70, she second married John Read, son of John Read (ca 1637-3 Jan 1720/1) & Hannah Peabody (ca 1643-12 Apr 1727), in Freetown, MA. Born ca 1668 in Freetown, MA. John died on 5 Jun 1750 in Freetown, MA.
For three years John was a representative to General Court. John and Mary resided in Fall River. John was town clerk of Freetown for 35 years.91
John first married Mary Pearce, second Susannah Brownell, and third Sarah (Shearman) Chase.
