More research is needed to varify that Catherine Comford is a child of Benjamin and Maritje.96

On 19 Nov 1799 when Maritje was 23, she married Benjamin Race (29503) , son of Benjamin Rees (18182) (16 Dec 1733-) & Catherine Dingman, in Claverack, Columbia Co., NY.417 Born on 19 Aug 1776.300 At the age of <1, Benjamin was baptized in Kinderhook, Columbia Co., NY, on 15 Sep 1776.300 Sponsors: Gabriel Brisii & wife Danelje. Benjamin died on 21 Mar 1848; he was 71.96

Benjamin and his sister Cornelia were witnesses at the 1798 baptism of their nephew Benjamin, son of Zacharias Hawse and Sarah Race.

Will abstract: Benjamin Race of Kinderhook (age 68), dated 9 Nov 1845, probated 7 Jun 1848, mentions wife Mary; daughters Gitty wife of Peter Head, and Maria wief of Henry Smith; sons William, John, Michael, & Richard. Executors: sons Michael & Richard. Witnesses: Robert patterson of Kinderhook & Lawrence Fowler of Kinderhook.358

On 27 Nov 1804 when John J. was 24, he married Hannah Race (35370) , daughter of Jonathan Rees (29452) (ca 1758-30 Jul 1849) & Elizabeth Keller (31323) (ca 1761-ca 1834), in Claverack Reformed Church.417 Born on 2 Apr 1787 in Columbia County, NY.300 At the age of <1, Hannah was baptized in St Thomas Lutheran Church, Churchtown, on 6 May 1787.300 Annatche, daughter of Jonathan REes & Elizabeth, witnesses Thomas Bennen & Catharina Ries. Hannah died aft 1835 in Butler, Wayne Co., NY.
