On 3 Apr 1792 Samuel married Mary Otis (31384) , daughter of Joshua Otis (21098) (20 Apr 1748-1822) & Mary Thaxter (36987) (5 Apr 1752-12 Jun 1842), in the Second Church of Scituate.¹⁹³ Born on 28 Jun 1773 in Scituate, MA.¹¹⁶ At the age of 1, Mary was baptized in First Parish Church, Scituate, on 5 Mar 1775.¹¹⁶
