On 6 Sep 1807 when Michael was 22, he married Jannetje Ackerman (35855) , daughter of Albert Ackerman (9 Mar 1757-20 Apr 1837) & Antje Van Winkle (30703) (6 Feb 1765-9 Feb 1847). Born on 29 Oct 1786 in Acquackanonk, NJ. Jannetje died in 1858. Buried in Bay View Cemetery, Jersey City.
