37418. Benjamin Franklin Delano. Born on 17 Sep 1809 in Scituate, MA.116 At the age of 13, Benjamin Franklin was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 6 Oct 1822.116 Benjamin Franklin died in 1882.

Benjamin was educated by the Rev. Samuel Deane, and, displaying a decided talent for shipbuilding, was placed in the drafting office of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, where his uncle, Samuel Hartt, was Naval Constructor, and there served his time.7

On 3 Nov 1835 when Benjamin Franklin was 26, he married Jane Foster (36721) , daughter of Capt. Seth Foster (35755) (21 Jun 1770-1 Apr 1827) & Abigail Otis (33032) (11 Oct 1773-6 Sep 1848), in Scituate, MA.116 Born on 1 Oct 1810 in Scituate, MA.116 Jane died in 1903 in Brooklin, NY.7

Children of Benjamin and Jane (Foster) Delano, include:
    i. Alfred Otis Foster, b. 19 Jan 1839 at Scituate, d. 1891;
    ii. a daughter, b. 1844; and
    iii. Charlotte, b. 22 Apr 1845 at Portsmouth, NH.
