Elisha was a shipbuilder, and with his brother Alden Briggs succeeded his father at the Brick Kiln Yard. Elisha lived on Washington St., North Pembroke, untill 1911. After 1811 he removed to Newburyport , where he built several vessels. He was a soldier in the American Revolution.7
