On 22 May 1783 when Benjamin was 29, he married Ruth Simonds (42389) , daughter of James Simonds (22549) (10 Mar 1717-4 Jan 1811) & Anna Lawrence (8 Aug 1720-). Born on 20 Jun 1757 in Leominster, MA. Ruth died in Feb 1827.

Benjamin and Ruth were first cousins; his father and her mother were siblings.
