Amanda, known as Mandy, Smith. In 1900 she was living in Honey Grove with her daughter Dixie Brown’s family.

(It has been claimed that she was the daughter of Jackson and Elizabeth (Clowers) Smith of Tennessee, but their daughter Amanda, b. 1820, married Ellis M. Riggs in 1836 (who d. 1844), and she appears on the 1850 census record with Jackson and Elizabeth in McGinn County. Furthermore, Jackson named his daughter Amanda J. Riggs in his last will dated 26 Sep 1848. He died in 1852 a few months before his daughter married Oliver P. Hall.)
