On 3 Jun 1787 when Gershom was 25, he married Eunice Parke, daughter of Hezekiah Parke (ca 1740-12 Nov 1776) & Martha Kinne (22 Feb 1741-), in Preston, CT. Born ca 1767 in Preston, CT. Eunice was baptized on 3 Aug 1767. Eunice died in Worthington, MA on 19 Aug 1840. Buried in North Cemetery, Worthington.
