Obituary
    Mrs. Elia A. Mercier, age 31, of 519 Geyer avenue, died at 5:10 o’clock last evening in her residence. She had been ill for two weeks.
    She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Stttle, of Goshen, Ind., who survive. Her husband, a brother, John Steele, of Goshen, three sisters, Hester Steele, of Goshen, Mrs. Frank Hatifeld, of Elkhart, Ind., and Mrs. Calud Paul, of Bristol, Ind., also survive.
    Mrs. Mercier was born in Tipton county, Indiana, Sept. 15 1894. She was married to Mr. Mercier, July 3, 1920. She came here from Goshen in 1923. There are three children, two girls, Mary Ameline and Vivian Jane and one boy, Eli Eugene. The children are all at home
    The body will be taken to thome of her parents in Goshen to-day. Funeral services and burial will be held there Sunday afternoon.
On 3 Jul 1920 when Mabel P. was 25, she married Eli Alexander Mercier, son of Frank Eugene Mercier (1 Apr 1866-17 Jul 1954) & Ameline Jeligner (1 Aug 1870-6 Feb 1908), in Elkhart County, Indiana. Born on 11 Aug 1893 in Hunts Spur, Newton Township Mackinac County, Michigan. Eli Alexander died in Mishawaka, St. Joseph County, Indiana, on 20 Sep 1971; he was 78.
