RACE, Georgina (Ashcroft) "Sis" Age 88, formerly of Dorchester, on October 27, 2012, in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. Beloved wife of the late Donald L. Race Sr. Cherished mother of Donna D'Angelo and her husband John of Wind Gap, PA, David Race of St. Charles, MO, Donald Race Jr. and his wife Kathy of Whitman, MA, and John Race and his wife Janet of Middleboro, MA. Proud Nana to 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Ruth Foster of Cookeville, TN. Prior to her move to PA in 2004, she was an active and lifelong member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Dorchester, MA, holding numerous positions including Financial Secretary and Sunday School Teacher as well as a longtime member of the choir and Women's group. One of her most notable accomplishments was being a loving foster mother to numerous infants from 1963 until 1980. Her knitting and crochet talents will be enjoyed for generations by her family and many friends who have one of her Christmas stockings or afghans. She was an avid sports fan, following baseball and football with intensity. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 12 at 11:00 AM in Wesley United Methodist Church, 1076 Washington St. Dorchester, MA 02124. Relatives and friends invited.
