1258. Ralph Tompkins. Born ca 1585 in Buckinghamshire. Ralph died in Bridgewater, MA in 1666.

Ralph and Katherine arrived in New England in the Truelove in Sep 1635: Ralph, husb: 50, Kat: wife 58, Elizabeth 18, Marie 14, and Samuel 22. They resided first at Dorchester, MA, where he was admitted freeman 2 May 1638. On 23 Jan 1642/3, the Town of Salem, MA, granted to Brother Ralph 10 acres of land "next to Brother King's lott". On 2 Jun 1648, Ralph sold his house, lands, and common rights to John Farnham of Dorchester. On 29 Jan1648/9 Salem granted Ralph a "spot of meadow", and on 8 May1654, the town confirmed this grant. After the death of his wife, Ralph moved to Bridgewater, MA, to his son Samuel's home, where he died in 1666. His property in Salem was inventoried 12 Nov 1666, administration granted to son John, who had the land, and, after the debts were paid the rest to Mary, the daughter of John Foster [and Ralph’s granddaughter].
On 6 Nov 1608 Ralph first married Katherine in Edlesborough, Buckinghamshire. Born ca 1577. Katherine died in Salem, MA. Religion: Katherine was admitted to the Church on 3 Apr 1642.

Katherine’s first husband was a Mr Foster.
