On 13 Oct 1588 Thomas married Grace Coppowne, daughter of John Coppowne, in Farnsworth, Prescott, Lancashire. Born ca 1570 in Ditton, Prescot, Lancashire. Grace was baptized in Farnsworth Chapel, Prescott, Lancashire, on 4 Apr 1570.

As far as the research in the Rathbone Geneology could tell only the youngest of Richard and Marion's four sons had children. The oldest, Rev. William Rathbone, resided and preached in Vermont, in 1630. He is spoken of in a work published in 1637, and reprinted "in historical collections of Massachusetts."
Richard married Marion Whipple.
She was the sister of Captain John Whipple. He mentions her in his will. The will was made at Ipswich, Essex County, MA. It was dated 19 Dec. 1616. It was probated 28 Jan. 1618.
