1856. Abigail Moss. Born ca 1642 in New Haven, CT. Abigail was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 10 Apr 1642.30 Abigail died on 5 Nov 1710 in Wallingford, CT.31

On 2 Jul 1663 Abigail married Sergt. Abraham Doolittle (1202) , son of Edward Doolittle (439) (ca 1588-Jan 1634/5) & Elizabeth Baker (716) (ca 1587-Jan 1635/6), in New Haven, CT.76 Born on 2 Aug 1620 in Kidderminster, Worcestershire. Abraham died in Wallingford, CT, on 11 Aug 1690; he was 70.31

Abraham was first in Boston, then went to New Haven 1644.2 He resided in New Haven and Wallingford.30

Mercy (nearly always a woman’s name) is correct here. He was son of John Moss, and husband of Elizabeth Curtis.

Mercy married Elizabeth Curtis, daughter of Capt. William Curtis (ca Jun 1618-21 Dec 1702) & Mary [Curtis]. Born on 16 Feb 1654[/5] in Stratford, CT.16 Elizabeth died in Branford, CT, on 21 Jan 1719/20; she was 64.210

Nathaniel was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 12 Aug 1688.30 Nathaniel was baptized as an adult. Nathaniel died ca 1698.

From The Genealogy of the Hitchcock Family:209
      “Besides his homestead in New Haven town he held land at the South End and in Foxing, as we find record: ‘Nathaniel Hitchcock having been in quiet possession at South End Neck “of lands,” doth now record them to himself.’ One lot adjoined Eliakim Hitchcock’s land, and we read, ‘Nathaniel Hitchcock has been in quiet possession for many years past, this 17th day of September, 1683.’ He died in East Haven. The inventory of his estate was taken March 22, 1699. It included ‘the homestead, land and meadow at town, valued at £200, the South End farme, and woodland at Foxing valued at £300.’ His widow died about 1706. Her will was dated Sept. 5, 1706, and admitted to Probate the first Monday in June 1707.”

Born on 24 Mar 1639 in Wallingford, CT. Nathaniel died in Wallingford, CT, on 8 Feb 1726; he was 86.31 Occupation: carpenter, joiner, blacksmith.

Nathaniel, of New London, freeman 1669, removed to Wallingford before 1674.2
