2737. Israel Honeywell. Born ca 1654. Israel died in Westchester, Westchester County, New York between 14 Dec 1718 and 12 Oct 1719.

Israel fought in King Philip’s War and wounded according to a caualty list dated 4 Jul 1677, at which time he was a resdient of Ipswich. He and Mary married and had three children before moving to the Town of Westchester, New York, by 23 Oct 1694 when they purchased property there.

The Town of Westchester was one of the towns in Westchester County, but now it’s roughtly the east half of The Bronx. The center of the town, Westchester Village, is up the Westchester Creek. The town of Westchester voted against annexation to New York in 1894, but it was annexed anyway.

Israel’s will, dated 14 Dec 1718, proved 12 Oct 1719 mentioned his wife Mary, daughter Sarah, son Israel, daugher Mary Baxter, son Samuel; executors his wife Mary and son Israel; witnesses John Marsh, James Altman, and Daniel Clark.
Israel married Mary Spofford (5113) , daughter of John Spofford (ca 1611-Oct 1678) & Elizabeth Scott (2003) (ca 1623-10 Feb 1690/1). Born ca 1656 in Rowley, MA. Mary was baptized in Rowley, MA, on 1 Sep 1656. Mary died aft 1718.
