Born ca 1614 in Yeovilton, Somerset. Frances was baptized in Yeovilton, Somerset, on 28 May 1614.23 Frances died in Dartmouth, MA on 26 Feb 1700.23

William died in Providence, RI on 27 Dec 1650.
William and Frances came to New England in 1635.23 He was a signer of the Compact of 1640 which set up the government for the colony of Providence.
Thomas Hopkins.
Born ca 1616 in Chesselbourne, England. Thomas was baptized in Chesselbourne, England, on 7 Apr 1616. Thomas died in Littleworth, Oyster Bay, Long Island on 10 Nov 1684.
Thomas came to New England with his sister Frances Man, and their uncle William Arnold in 1635.23
Thomas followed Roger Williams in 1636 from Plymouth to Providence. He swore allegiance to Charles II in Jun 1668, as did his son Thomas in May 1671.25
“He at first was assigned to a home share of land situated near the south end of the town, it being the fourth lot south of what is now known as Power street, running east from the town street. Six other shares of land were successively assigned to him, as shown by ‘The Home Lots of the Early Settler,’ published by Charles W. Hopkins, in June 1886.
“These were all located in the near vicinity of the town proper, none probably being outside of a radius of five miles from its centre. In addition to these, as the growth of population required outlying regione to be utilized, other divisions of territory were made and assigned to the original proprietors in shares of larger dimensions. On one of these last named, Thomas made a permanent settlement. Its location was a little west of the Pawtucket or Blackstone river, about ten miles north of his first assigned home lot.”295
Elizabeth Hopkins.
Born ca 1619. Elizabeth was baptized on 3 Jul 1619.23
It has been suggested that Elizabeth married Edward Inman.
