Leonard came from Leicestershire, England, in 1733. He was an early proprietor of Watertown and was one of the small colony that went from Watertown in 1735 to settle Wethersfield, CT.30
Leonard married Mary. Born ca 1608. Mary died in Charlestown, MA on 30 Nov 1688.16
According to Anderson:16 “The identity of Leonard Chester's wife remains uncertain. Her surname may be Wade, or Sharpe, or Neville.”
