Andrew came from Scotland about 1672 and settled first at Menotomy (Arlington), and at Billerica by 1713, and lived east of the Shawsheen in the part of the town annexed to Wilmington in 1737.502 The Shawsheen River forms part of the northern boundaray of Wilminington, next to Tewksbury.
Henry Hazen has a summary of the Beard family of Billerica in his History of Billerica in the genealogical registers section of his book.502 There are many other references to individual Beards in the earlier part of his book. Here’s his genealogical register:
