From Lincoln’s History of the Town of Hingham:45
Thomas, styled the ‘weaver,’ was a brother of Daniel Lincoln the ‘husbandman,’ who died here unmarried, 5 Arp. 1744; and also of Samuel Lincoln, Sr., who was a younger brother. Thomas the ‘weaver’ came to New England in 1633 with his cousin Nicholas Jacob, and resided about two years at Watertown and Charlestown. He had a grant of land in Hingham at Weary-all (Otis) Hill in 1635; and July 3, 1636, a houselot of five acres on the south side of Town (South) St. He was twice married; but I have not ascertained the surname of either of his wives. The christian name of his first wife was Susanna. She died March 1641. The christian name of his second wife was Mary. She survived him, and died in Hingham 21 Dec. 1683, being then, as the record says, ‘an aged woman.’ He died in Hingham 2 Sept. 1675, leaving no children. His will, which is without date, was witnessed by Edmund Pitts and Josiah Loring. It was presented at Boston, 27 Oct. 1675. In that instrument he bequaths ‘all my moveables, and land, orchards, gardens, and meadows to Mary Lincoln my beloved wife. After her decease, Daniel Lincoln, my nephew, and son of my brother Samuel, shall have the house-lot I now dwell upon which was given me by the town of Hingham; also, one half of my salt-meadow at Abraham’s well, and one half of my planting lot at Weary-all Hill. To Samuel Lincoln, my nephew, the eldest son of my brother Samuel, the house-lot I formerly purchased of Jarvis Goold, deceased. Also to brother Samuel a specified sum; and to my other nephews and nieces who are the children of my brother Samuel, viz.: Mary Lincoln, Mordecai lincoln, thomas Lincoln, Martha Lincoln, and Sarah Lincoln,’ sums varying from £5 to £12 each. As no mention is made of Samuel’s younger daughter Rebecca, it is more probably that the will was made before her birth.

From Lincoln’s History of the Town of Hingham:45
Samuel, according to Cushing’s manuscript, ‘came from Hingham, England, and settled in New Hingham, 1637, living some time at Salem.’ Another early reference to him is found on a list of passengers registered to pass from Great Britain to New England to inhabit in 1637, at which time the sage of ‘Samuel Lincorne’ was given at 18 yrs. This undoubtedly refers to the Samuel who settled in Hingham, as the name is not found in any other locality at that early date. Samuel had two bro's also, who were early residents of Hingham, viz.: Daniel Lincoln the husbandman, and Thomas Lincoln the weaver. Daniel died here in 1644, leaving a considerable property to his brother Samuel. Thomas died at 1675, and althogh twice married left no children. He also left some of his estate to his brother Samuel, but a larger portion to Samuel's children. In 1649 Samuel purchased of Cornelius Cantlebury the estates now owned by Mrs. George M. Soule, and heirs of Asa Lincoln, deceased, on North Street, near the present Hingham Station of the South Shore Railroad. The lot contained five acres, and is the same which was granted by the town in 1635 to Wm. Arnall. One branch of Samuel's descendants still occupies a part of the original homestead. ... His descendants are numerous and widely scattered. Many of them have occupied distinguished positions in public and private life. Very few of this stock, however, who bear the surname, reside in Hingham at the present time [1893].
