Mary was captured 1704. Through the investigations of Miss C. Alice Baker we learn the fate of several of the young captives in Canada, and to her we are indebted for most of what will be given in that direction. Apr. 6, 1706, Old Style, Mary French, who was living with James Le Be, was baptized at Montreal; she was 19 years old, but escaped the snare, and was redeemed by Ens. Sheldon that year.

Thomas was captured 1704; had returned before Sept. 5, 1707; prob. was brought back by Ens. John Sheldon on his second trip.161
On 11 Jul 1713 when Thomas was 23, he married Joanna Field.161
