According to Jacobus, this Samuel, b. 1699, son of Samuel Brown, had a natural child by Elizabeth Burwell. He says it was before Samuel’s marriage, but Samuel was married 1722, and the child wasn’t baptized until 1725.55

Samuel resided in Redding and Stratford.55
He first did not marry Elizabeth Burwell (30018) , daughter of Samuel Burwell (12 Jan 1666-30 Dec 1719) & Rebecca Bunnell (12920) (11 Feb 1668[/9]-). Born on 15 Jul 1699 in New Haven, CT.56 Elizabeth was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 13 Aug 1699.55

Before marriage, Elizabeth had a natural child by Samuel Brown:
    i. Samuel Brown, bp. 7 Jul 1725 at Statford.55
On 14 Jan 1722 when Samuel was 22, he second married Jane Titherton in Stratford, CT.55
