On 30 Jun 1780 when Lucy was 17, she married John Jones (53971) , son of Thomas Jones (40345) (Mar 1715-8 Sep 1791) & Mary Marsh (37752) (26 Mar 1714-18 Oct 1775), in Hingham, MA.45 Born on 17 Jun 1753 in Hingham, MA.45 John died in Scituate, MA, on 9 Jun 1839; he was 85.52

John and Lucy resided on the paternal homestead, “over the river,” until 1796, when they removed with their family to that part of Scituate which was incorporated in 1849 as South Scituate.45

John and Lucy removed to Scituate, 1799. Their residence was a half mile south of Cushing hill.53
