31560. Capt. Samuel Alden. Born on 7 Nov 1712 in Duxbury, MA.192 Samuel was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 17 May 1713.53 Samuel died in Bitton, Gloucestershire, on 10 Oct 1757; he was 44. Buried in St. Mary's church, Bitton.

Samuel was bred a sailor and soon rose to the command of a merchant ship. He finally settled in England, at Bristol, as a merchant, and corresponding with Samuel Partridge of Boston, MA. He married in England, Edith, but died without issue. He bequeathed the homestead which he had inherited to his brother Col. Briggs Alden.180
On 31 Jul 1740 when Samuel was 27, he married Edith Read in Bristol, Gloucestershire. Born ca 1720. Edith died in Bitton, Gloucestershire on 29 Nov 1775. Buried on 3 Dec 1775 in St. Mary's church, Bitton.
31561. Capt. Judah Alden. Born on 10 Aug 1714 in Duxbury, MA.192 Judah died ca 1740.

Capt. Judah was bred to the sea, and died, while in command of a merchantman, on his passage to Scotland, having shortly before married Miss Row of Boston.180
On 30 Dec 1739 when Judah was 25, he married Abigail Roe, daughter of Peter Roe & Mary Lockey, in Boston, MA. Born ca 1721. Abigail died in Boston, MA on 16 Nov 1782.

Abigail married second James Dalton.
