    Leavitt lived in Rehoboth. He was a private in Capt. Nathaniel Carpenter’s Co., Col. Thomas Carpenter’s regt., which marched from Rehoboth to Bristol, RI on the alarm of 8 Dec 1776, and served on various other occasions in the war.
On 26 Nov 1761 when Leavitt was 27, he first married Silence Tower.2 Silence died bef Oct 1788.
