Nathaniel, of Boston, settled at Scituate and purchased from Noah and Phoebe Otis their homestead place and builds, etc., next land of Ensign Otis, also 1/4 of wharf and store, in partnership with Capt. George Morton and others. Children: Deborah (m. Anthony Waterman, Jr), Mercy (m. Thomas Hobart), Nathaniel (m. Lydia Phillips), Polly (m. Lemuel Vinal), Rachel (m. Jonathan Harris).7

On 19 Jun 1766 when Nathaniel was 24, he married Mercy Otis (34602) , daughter of Joseph Otis (26594) (16 Mar 1709/10-11 Sep 1788) & Mercy Little (24756) (8 May 1724-), in Boston, MA. Born ca 1745 in Scituate, MA. Mercy was baptized in First Parish Church, Scituate, on 9 Jun 1745.121 Mercy died on 22 May 1834 in Scituate, MA.121 Buried in Scituate, MA GR6. Marriage intention published on 14 Jun 1766 at Scituate, MA.121
